Proclamation Statement of Family Life Church
The following proclamation is vital to “Building The Foundation” at Family Life Church.

Praise and Worship
FLC believes that the example set forth in New Testament worship was described in the psalms and birthed in the Tabernacle of David in the Old Testament. We as believers are to be spiritual priests who offer spiritual sacrifices to God. One of the primary sacrifices come from the “ fruit of your lips” (Heb. 13:15). Our worship is characterized by the biblical expression of being undignified (2 Samuel 6:22) for Christ by clapping, shouting, singing, dancing, lifting hands, and kneeling before our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Gifts of the Spirit
FLC believes that the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) should be desired, sought after and evidenced in the Church today. They are to be a part of the Church until Jesus returns for His prefect bride.

Fivefold Ministry
FLC believes that the ministers listed in Ephesians 4:11 are to be fully functioning until Jesus returns. This would include apostles and prophets, not just pastors, teachers and evangelists. Each of these ministries are needed to equip the Body of Christ and to build the foundation of the Church.

Prayer and Intercession
FLC believes that personal and corporate prayer is essential if the Church is going to succeed. We desire to be “ a house of prayer for all nations” (Isa. 56:7). Prayer is to be a major focus
for all churches. Prayer will be the pipeline through which the Spirit will move.

Prophecy
FLC believes that prophecy and the ministry of the prophet are to be fully operational in the Church today. If the Church is going to be filled with vision and direction under the banner of Jesus Christ, the prophetic voice must be heard.

Eldership Government
FLC believes that God directs the plan and the pattern of government in the local church. We refer to this as team ministry or an eldership form of government headed by the pastor or chief elder. The elders are to the church what parents are to a family. They are the spiritual parents of the local assembly and are responsible before God to establish and equip the members of the church to be able to function in their callings.

Family Restoration
FLC believes that God is restoring the natural family back to its proper place and function (Jer. 31:1). God is turning the hearts of fathers to the children and children back to the fathers
(Mal. 4:6).God is in the process of healing marriages, strengthening parents and teaching men and women more about their God-given roles. God is wanting to use and raise up godly seeds in this generation to destroy the works of the evil one.

Unity and Diversity
FLC believes that we should be inclusive and actively seeking to include all people of all races, ethnic origins and social and economic standings in its community church. The Church of Jesus Christ is a multiethnic group. God’s purpose is to make all people into one for the glory of God.
